Roots Bar is owned and operated by Craig and Nadja Haisty and was built with a vision of providing an alternative space where locals and travelers can enjoy a great music culture through a great sound system, enjoy simple but fantastic food, enjoy the energy that the outside fire brings to the bar, and of course indulge in tasting some NZ medal winning craft beers that the bar has on tap.

The atmosphere and energy is always warm and inviting in the Roots Bar, whether it’s the candle light, the fire light and warmth, the rustic furniture, the smooth quality sounds or the interesting people you always seem to meet.
